Let's sow a more chingón Mexico

Updated: Dec 30, 2021

When we talk about the most polluted cities in the country, we immediately think of Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. And we are not wrong. According to Green Peace the metropolitan areas of the Valley of Mexico, Guadalajara and Monterrey have the highest pollution rates in the country.

But it is also true that the almost 30 million consumers who live in them have the power to change this reality by being careful when choosing what we buy.

Aware of this, I want to contribute. As of September, thanks to the collaboration agreements we have with some non-profit civil associations in Guadalajara and Mexico City, we are giving part of each sale to reforestation activities.

The purpose is to plant a tree for each online purchase of one of the caps, t-shirts or bracelets in my store.

Thus, we not only seek not to generate an impact on the environment, but to restore to nature what the largest metropolitan areas in the country have taken away: air quality.

If you help, with each purchase, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the production of one or more endemic trees for the most needy areas of the country.

In other words, the amount contributed will be used for sprouting, placing in bags, changing the bag when it grows, irrigation, compost, weeding and payment of the personnel in charge of its maintenance.

In short, you will contribute with the care that is required until the trees reach the optimal height to be planted where it is most needed.

How will civil associations work?

In the center of the country, reforestation activities will be carried out by Reforestamos México A.C .. The plantations will be carried out at the appropriate times (June-September), to ensure the highest percentage of tree survival.

For the west, Bosque Urbano de Extra A.C. A tree will be up for adoption for each cap, shirt or bracelet, and it may be planted at any time of the year.

I'll be keeping you posted. That is why I ask you: Help us to sow a chingón Mexico!
